Introducing Out Grow's 1 cubic foot box of premium wheat straw, the perfect addition to your mushroom cultivation! Our wheat straw is horticulturally grade, making it an ideal substrate for mushroom cultivation.

Wheat straw is an excellent substrate for growing mushrooms like oyster, shiitake, and lion's mane. The high cellulose content in wheat straw makes it an ideal food source for the mushrooms, providing the necessary energy for growth. It also helps to retain moisture, leading to a higher yield.

The 1 cubic foot box of wheat straw will weigh around 4 pounds, providing enough substrate for multiple mushroom cultivation projects. To prepare the wheat straw for mushroom cultivation, it must first be pasteurized. You can do this by adding the straw to water between 160 and 180F for 1-2 hours or using a straw pasteurizer. Once the straw is pasteurized, it can be inoculated with spawn to begin the growing process.

In addition to mushroom cultivation, wheat straw can also be used as animal bedding or as a soil amendment in gardening. It helps to retain moisture and improve soil structure. You kitties and bunnies will love it!

By using Out Grow's premium wheat straw, you'll be taking the first step towards a more productive and sustainable mushroom cultivation. Order now and start growing your own delicious mushrooms in no time!

You will receive a 12 X 12 X 12 box stuffed full with straw.

Excellent product

I was looking for some straw locally and my usual farm was out as well as garden centers. I ordered this in a pinch and it was delivered quickly. High quality product. There are a few seeds but I haven’t had a problem with weeds. If something starts to sprout I pull it. All my veggies just took off after I finally got the straw down and has helped retain moisture in my raised beds.

I really recommend this product. It is a great amount of straw to make around three large straw logs, and is very affordable. My only problem with this product is that this straw seems a little less clean than the other bags of straw they provide however, this has never been a problem when I used it so I consider it only minor downside.
