Description
- The Mushroom Grow Kit (Quick Kit) by OutGrow® includes a 1-pound bag of sterilized rye berries and a 1-pound bag of pasteurized horse manure-based substrate, making it a hassle-free solution for mushroom cultivation.
- The rye bag comes with a self-healing injection port and a filter patch for gas exchange, making it easy to inoculate with 4cc of your favorite gourmet mushroom culture and allowing it to fully colonize in about 5 to 6 weeks.
- Once the rye bag is fully colonized, you can break up the mycelium and add it to the bulk substrate bag, which can be allowed to colonize and fruit in the bag or transferred to another container for cultivation.
- Both bags of substrate can be stored in cool room temperatures for up to 4 months or refrigerated for up to 6 months for storage purposes prior to use, and OutGrow® only uses all-natural ingredients to make their edible mushroom growing kits.
The Mushroom Grow Kit (Quick Kit) by OutGrow® is a hassle-free solution for mushroom cultivation. It contains 2 prepared mushroom substrates - a 1-pound bag of hydrated and sterilized all natural rye berries to make your spawn with, and a 1-pound bag of pasteurized horse manure based mushroom substrate to use as your bulk substrate. The rye bag is equivalent to 1 quart in volume, while the bulk substrate is equivalent to 1.5 quarts in volume.
The sterilized rye berries bag comes with a self-healing injection port and a five-micron filter patch on the bag for gas exchange. Simply inoculate it with 4cc of your favorite gourmet mushroom culture and shake up the bag. Allow the bag to fully colonize in room temperatures. If the inoculation is sterile and successful, the bag will be colonized in about 5 to 6 weeks from the time of inoculation.
Once the rye bag is fully colonized, break up the mycelium in the bag and add the spawn to your bulk substrate bag. Seal the bag and mix. The substrate can be allowed to colonize and fruit in the bag or transferred to your preferred vessel for cultivation. The bulk substrate should be allowed 4-6 weeks to fully colonize in room temperatures, without incubating over 80 degrees Fahrenheit at any given time.
Both bags of substrate can be stored in cool room temperatures for up to 4 months or refrigerated for up to 6 months for storage purposes prior to use. OutGrow® only uses all natural ingredients to make their edible mushroom growing kits. The Mushroom Grow Kit (Quick Kit) provides a hassle-free solution for mushroom cultivation and ensures fast results and impressive fruits.
