How To Store Our Substrates

Storage of our products

Below are some tips on how to properly store your substrates.

Manure Based Substrate: Leave in original packaging. Store your manure based substrate in a cool and dry location. Manure based substrate can keep for up to 4 months in these conditions. There will be no need to rehydrated or sterilize the products a second time. If you need to store the product longer it can be refrigerated for up to 6 months and frozen for up to 1 year.

50/50 substrate:  Leave in original packaging. Store your 50/50 substrate in a cool and dry location. 50/50 substrate can keep for up to 4 months in these conditions. There will be no need to rehydrated or sterilize the products a second time. If you need to store the product longer it can be refrigerated for up to 6 months and frozen for up to 1 year.

Pasteurized Casing:  Leave in original packaging. Store your casing in a cool and dry location. Casing can keep for up to 4 months in these conditions. There will be no need to rehydrated or sterilize the products a second time. If you need to store the product longer it can be refrigerated for up to 6 months and frozen for up to 1 year.

Pasteurized Straw: Leave in original packaging. Store your pasteurized straw in a cool and dry location. Pasteurized straw is best if only stored around 2 months, maybe 3 if refrigerated.  It is best to use it as fresh as possible.

All in one mushroom grow bags: Leave in original packaging. Store your all in one grow bag in a cool and dry location. All in one grow bags can keep for up to 3 months in these conditions. There will be no need to rehydrated or sterilize the products a second time. If you need to store the product longer it can be refrigerated for up to 6 months and frozen for up to 1 year.

Hardwood Substrate: Leave in original packaging.  Store your hard wood substrate in a cool and dry location. Hardwood substrate can keep for up to 3 months in these conditions. There will be no need to rehydrated or sterilize the products a second time. If you need to store the product longer it can be refrigerated for up to 6 months and frozen for up to 1 year.

Sterilized rye, popcorn, millet, wild bird seed or brf substrate: Leave in original packaging. Store your sterilized grains be it in glass jars or grow bags keep them in a cool and dry location. Sterilized grains can keep for up to 3 months in these conditions. There will be no need to rehydrated or sterilize the products a second time. It is best to use your sterilized grains as soon as possible.
